Loft Conversion FAQ’s

A loft conversion is a great way of adding extra rooms to your home, without having to extend. It also utilizes unused space within your home. With the correct design of your loft conversion, you can optimize the space to also incorporate some amazing storage solutions – so you can still keep your Christmas decorations up there!

As there are no groundworks required, as you would for a house extension, the cost is therefore considerably less.

Do I need planning permission?
Not always. Most loft conversion can be achieved under ‘permitted development’, unless you extend or alter the roof space and it exceeds specified limits and conditions.

How long would a typical loft conversion take?
A loft conversion comprising of a bedroom and en-suite would take approximately 10 weeks.

Is there a minimum height required to complete a loft conversion?
